Stamped Concrete Patio Addition with Pavilion and Outdoor Kitchen
On this project we wanted to expand the patio area to accommodate a sitting area, a dining area and cooking area with some shade. The stamped concrete patio is a great option for the addition of any patio. It is very durable and long lasting yet still has a beautiful look. On this particular patio we used an integral color in the cement mix and then added an accent color to the surface. Once the concrete was cured we added two coats of sealer.
The pavilion is designed to add beauty to the patio as well as function. The large timber construction combined with the tongue and groove decking really set it apart from a basic shade structure. We added lighting as well as a fan to complete the atmosphere. We also installed gutters along the eave of the house to keep this area of the patio dry.
The outdoor kitchen is complete with Blaze grill and side burner, mini fridge, pull out trash can and Big Green Egg! It is compact but has everything needed for the outdoor chef. The enclosed drawers and door under the grill really top it off with some added storage.
