Back Porch Deck and Cedar Roof Extension in Central Lubbock - Part 1

Our website  Rustic Outdoor Escapes

This is a nice add-on to a home in Tech Terrace.  The owners didn't have much of an area to enjoy in their backyard so we created an area for them to relax by adding on a composite deck with a cedar roof above.

The composite deck is a great choice because of the extremely low maintenance.  It never needs to be stained or sealed and feels really nice on bare feet (no splinters!).  All you need to do to clean it is sweep it off or spray it with the water hose.  Composite decks will last many years longer than a traditional wood deck without the hassle.

The cedar roof extension is a really nice touch to keep out the heat and rain.  The roof extension will also lower their energy costs in the summer by keeping the sunlight from coming in the bay window.  The view of the cedar from under the porch completes the look and gives them the ability to enjoy the outdoors on a sunny or rainy afternoon.

Classic Pergola in South Lubbock

Our Website Rustic Outdoor Escapes

This is a unique pergola built in the Orchard Park subdivision located at 109th and Quaker Ave in south Lubbock.  This was built for a home still under construction which is great way to ensure the pergola will be ready for use as soon as the home is ready to move in.

This pergola has the classic round Tuscan columns that were painted to match the exterior trim of the home.  It also features the large beams and rafters that really add to the classic style.  The best thing about this pergola is that while it is simple it is also very elegant.

Beautiful Pergola and Pavilion outside Lubbock, TX

Our Website - Rustic Outdoor Escapes

This was a really fun project in Idalou, Tx just outside Lubbock that included several different design options.  The customer wanted a pergola to cover approximately two thirds of their patio and a full roof over the other third to cover a spa.  We were able to incorporate this all into the same structure and it turned out awesome!

All of the posts on this structure were complemented with the full trim package.  The pergola has 2x2's across the rafters to give more strength and shade.  The rafter lengths were cut to match the arch of the patio extension below.

The pavilion over the spa has a gable roof with cedar trusses at both ends.  It also has exposed cedar rafters and decking. It was shingled to match the existing roof.  One really nice feature of this pavilion are the privacy louvers we added on two sides which also provide extra shade for those hot summer days.
